Performance Ensembles - Choral
The choral tradition at Concordia stems to its founding. Choirs have been an integral part of Concordia and continue to be the mainstay of the School of Music.
The Concordia Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Joy Berg, brings the longest tradition to the School and is comprised of auditioned students from a variety of interests and academic backgrounds. Coupled with a smaller ensemble from within the choir, it performs and tours frequently in Western Canada, but has also to Eastern Canada, the USA, and Europe.
The Concordia Community Chorus consists of over 100 singers and rehearses on Monday evenings under the direction of Dr. Joy Berg. There is no audition for the chorus, although the chamber choir, a subset of the main group requires and audition.
