Terry Carter first started ringing handbells with the "Belles in Harmony" in 1993 and continues to do so. She says, "After spending the first couple of months watching more notes fly by wondering if I could ever catch on, I am now hooked." She also rings with "Resounding Joy" Handbell Choir at First United Church in Fort Saskatchewan.

Susan Galloway works as a teacher and assistant principal in Edmonton. She has been ringing and directing handbells for over twenty years. Susan has served as a clinician for workshops throughout Canada and has attended handbell ringing conferences in the United States, England, and Australia.

Wendy Hoskin has been ringing handbells for various church and community choirs over the past twenty-five years. She has also directed elementary handbell choirs over the past fifteen years.

Anke Kelker started ringing in 1991 and hasn't looked back since, staying involved with various handbell choirs in the city. On non-ringing days, Anke forecasts the weather for the aviation community and spoils her two cats.

Dorothy Kelker is studying for her M.A. in environmental education. She has played handbells since 1991, including several years with the Faculty of Education choir at the University of Alberta. She enjoys "ringing to the rescue" and can often be found subbing in other choirs throughout the city.

Ieesha Morgan recently graduated from Concordia University College of Alberta with a B.A. in music and a minor in French. She has played handbells for five years with the Concordia Ringers during her studies, and she has also played the clarinet for ten years. She plans on pursuing further studies in French and music in the future after some time off to work.

Joan Orchard has been ringing bells for over twenty years. Her musical background includes piano and alto sax. She currently directs two handbell groups in a local school in Fort Saskatchewan, where she and her husband Brent reside with their four children.

Glenda Pickering works as a music teacher for Elk Island Public Schools. She has been ringing and directing handbells off and on since 1998. She currently teaches elementary music in Sherwood Park, where she directs several elementary choirs and two grade six handbell choirs.

Camille Ream works as a Nurse Consultant at the Grey Nun's Community Hospital. Camille has been ringing handbells since 1991, and has served as a clinician for workshops in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. She is currently the director at First United Church in Fort Saskatchewan.

Diann Sader works as a laboratory technician in the science department at Fort Saskatchewan High School. She has been ringing bells since 1994 and also plays piano. Diann enjoys running and has completed four marathons.

Linda Stockl has been ringing handbells since 1988. Completely hooked after attending her first conference that summer, she hasn't looked back. She has attended several conferences, most recently the 12th International Handbell Symposium in Brisbane, Australia and the inaugural Classic Bronze event in Edmonton. A Journeyman Baker looking for a change, she is now working for a freight forwarding company in Edmonton, where she lives with her cantankerous cat.

Jorgianne Talbot holds a Master of Music in Music Education with a Kodaly Emphasis from Capital University (Columbus, OH), three diplomas from the Zoltan Kodaly Pedagogical Institute of Music (Kecskemet, Hungary), an After-Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Alberta. She currently teaches music in the elementary setting.

Susan Wood is employed as a systems analyst/software developer (since ringing handbells doesn't pay the rent). Susan began ringing at the age of 8 and has continued to ring in several Edmonton-area choirs for over thirty years. She has served as a clinician teaching basic and advanced ringing as well as bass bell techniques. She has served as a clinician at various handbell conferences and has enjoyed attending International Handbell Symposia in Canada, England, Japan, and Australia.

Melanie Yakimishyn has been learning from musical Edmontonians for years. She has played handbells with Bob deFrece, Fred Merrett and John Hooper, had strings training with Edmonton Public Schools and Orff Masters course at the University of Alberta. Currently she is teaching elementary music in Edmonton.

Kathie Zalasky works as a teacher aide. She has rung bells with United in Bronze at St. Albert United Church since 1991. Kathie spends one week each year doing relief work in developing countries with Kindness in Action. She and her husband Percy live in St. Albert.
