Singspiration 2011
An Award-Winning Choral Camp for Youth
August 8-13

12 years of quality music education!

11 years of quality music education.

Singspiration is an award-winning summer choral camp for youth held at Concordia University College of Alberta from August 8-13, 2011. Designed for students entering grades 4 - 12, the camp is centred around two choirs: a junior choir for students in grades 4 - 7 and a youth choir for students from grades 8 - 12. Students may choose to stay in residence or can participate as a day student.

Singspiration provides valuable experience for students from church and school settings. The core of the Singspiration experience is choral rehearsal and performance under talented guest conductors, with a focus on vocal technique, music literacy, and ensemble development. In addition to choral experiences, Singspiration also permits camp participants to make music with handbells through Ringspiration. Not only do camp participants have the chance to grow musically, but Singspiration provides opportunities for growth through interest sessions on art, drama and dance as well as fun activities such as swimming, a bbq and a talent show for the residence students, and games. Participants are supervised in a safe and relaxed atmosphere.

Here's what some of our past participants have to say about Singspiration:

Hanging out with friends

I loved the singing and doing so many fun things that I'd never done before.

Dr. Galante with youth choir

I loved learning new things about singing and meeting new people.

Discussion group.

I loved choir because the music and conductor were awesome.
